Yin yoga is a type of exercise where participants hold stretches for 3-5 minutes. This yoga practice is good for stretching not only muscles but provide deep release into the facia, ligaments and can even provide a rejuvenation of the nervous system. Teens can benefit from stretching as well as breathwork that will be used/taught to focus, relax and calm the mind. Athletes may benefit from this greatly and decrease injuries, increase range of motion in joint flexability and overall better feeling of physical body.
